What is the Purpose of Queries on Demand?
A Query on Demand is a common query of the source data that is expected to be visited frequently by end users of the application.
Queries on Demand, provide a way to anticipate the needs of end users in looking for common data trends and patterns.
Queries on Demand are processed on the fly, querying the database and returning the most current data that fits inside the Query on Demand's parameters.
How do Queries on Demand Work?
Before Queries on Demand can be configured, Query Groups have to be created and mapped to the relevant roles.
Designers can create, edit, copy or delete Queries on Demand within each Query Group set up by an Administrator.
Once Queries on Demand are configured, they can be viewed in Analysis Mode by End Users of the Dashboard.
Queries Within Selected Group
Queries on Demand created by the Administrator or Designers can be viewed in the Queries Within Selected Group List.
You can see the total number of Queries created in the Group to the right of the Queries Within Selected Group heading.
The search bar under the Queries Within Selected Group heading lets you search Queries on Demand by keyword.
The Query Type icon is next to the name of each Query. The Query Type icon shows you which Result Type the query will display.
You can rearrange Queries on Demand by clicking on a Query and dragging and dropping to the desired position in the list. Left click on a Query and drag it to the desired position to rearrange.
The buttons under the Queries on Demand box let Designers and Administrators Create, Edit, Copy and Delete Queries on Demand.
