Overview
Analysis Mode provides dynamic interaction with the source data to pull out patterns and trends.
Unlike widgets where pre-processed data is presented, Analysis Mode retrieves the data at the time it is queried.
Querying the source data is highly flexible; and attribute, spatial and temporal variation may be modified on the fly.
A number of different analytical techniques may be applied to these queries to present the results using a variety of maps, reports and charts.
What is the purpose of Analysis Mode?
Analysis Mode provides a dynamic environment to drill down into the data to reveal patterns and trends.
Where Dashboard Mode is an environment to view preprocessed data that identifies anomalies in the data with a minimal amount of interaction, Analysis Mode provides the ability to perform flexible queries to drill into the data further.
How does Analysis Mode work?
Analysis Mode is built upon a customizable environment that is set up by the application administrator.
The environment consists of several key components that include; the Query Builder, Operational Layers, Charts & Reports and a Table of Contents.
Each component of Analysis Mode works together to provide a flexible environment to examine data on the fly.

Analysis Mode, like Maximized State widgets, let's you use the Identify tool.
To identify a data point, zoom in on the map until clusters disappear.
Click on any data point to view the Attribute Table containing detailed information about that incident.
If you click on a location that contains more than one data point, you can scroll through the incidents using the arrows on the upper right side of the Attribute Table.
You can click the Select Record check box on the bottom left portion of the Attribute Table dialogue box to highlight the selected data point on the map. A blue halo will highlight the data point.
