What is the Purpose of the Result Layers Tab?
Result Layers are used to manage the display properties of returned queries.
In Analysis mode, when a layer is created with the Query Builder it is stored in the Result Layers panel.
In Dashboard mode, a Widget query can be launched in Analysis Mode using the 'A' icon, and the properties of the result layer can be accessed from the Result Layers panel.
In the Result Layers panel each layer can be turned on and off to toggle its display on the map.
How does the Result Layers Tab Work?
Result layers are generated from both Dashboard mode and Analysis mode.
If the Analysis mode button is clicked on a widget in Dashboard mode it will be displayed in the Result Layers panel as well as the map.
In Analysis mode after a query is built with the query builder it will appear in the Result Layers panel.
The Show All and Hide All buttons at the top will allow you to Show or Hide all the result layers at once.
The Check Box on the left side of the Result Layer line will let you turn the Result Layer on or off on the map.
Next to the Eye button you can see the Query Type icon and the Result Layer Name.
The right side of the Result Layer line has a few buttons you can interact with.
The up arrow and down arrow button will let you move the Result Layer up or down in the Result Layers tab, which will also move it to the front or back of the map. For example, if you have two Result Layers on the Result Layer tab, a Pin Map and a Density Map, you can move the Density Map up above the Pin Map using the up arrow and this will be reflected on the map with the Pin Map being behind the Density Map.
The next icon will let you zoom to the Result Layer.
The 'i' icon will let you view the Name, Date Updated and Geocoding Matchrate for that Result Layer.
The last icon, the red delete icon, will let you delete the Result Layer.
You can use the arrow on the far right of the Result Layer to expand the layer in the Result Layers tab and set up various options for the Result Layer.
In the bottom left corner of the Result Layers tab you see the Delete All Layers button. This will allow you to delete all layers from the map.
